Glorious gateway to summer

Swallowtails are one of the harbingers of summer here and a beautiful one at that. I am always gobsmacked by their beauty. They also seem to travel in pairs, flying and drifting towards each other, almost touching, then flitting off to another beautiful flower. They let me get really close which I really appreciate. They love the Columbine growing in my backyard.
