Anticipating wood block printing

I signed up for a Japanese wood block printing course which ran over the past couple of weekends. In anticipation of the course, I had a burst of watercolour energy. What designs are appropriate for printing and wood block in particular? I missed the mark, of course, but had fun anyway. One of the paintings became the subject of the print course – more on that later.
